Home Remedies for Eye Dark Circles

Dark circles are common not only among career-driven, office-stationed workers but also among housewives. Anyone who has a hectic schedule, erratic sleeping habits, or a stressed out lifestyle is likely to develop dark circles around the eyes. Fortunately, this is not a life-threatening or grave health problem. However, dark circles can make you look old and tired.

Home Remedies:

Potato Juice:
Grate raw potato and make some juice. Soak cotton in potato juice and place them on your eyes. Close your eyes while you do this since you need to put the soaked cotton over the dark circles around your eyes. Try to leave it on for about ten minutes. Rinse off with lukewarm water thereafter.

Tomato and Lime Juice:
Mix a teaspoon of lime juice and tomato. Apply this mixture on the dark circles twice a day.

Blended Tomato Juice:
To make this concoction, add mint leaves, salt, and some lemon juice and mix it with tomato juice. Drink this twice each day.

Tomato Paste:
This is an effective remedy for dark circles, and you can easily make it at home. Take one or two tomatoes, add a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a dash of gram flour and turmeric powder. Blend these ingredients until you get a thick paste. Apply it around your eyes, and let it stay for ten to twenty minutes. Repeat it at least twice per week to make the skin tone lighter around the eyes.

Almond and Milk Paste:
Make a paste out of four to five almonds and milk. Apply this mixture over your dark circles and leave it there for about ten to fifteen minutes. This concoction will lighten the shadowy areas around the eyes.
